You have a friend with a fishing boat! Let's go Fishing!

In the winter and into the spring we will usually be sport-fishing halibut and bass, out of Marina Del Rey, Redondo Beach or other local harbor and mainly doing inshore coastal fishing, either up Santa Monica Bay along Malibu towards Point Dume, which mainly has a sandy bottom and kelp beds, good for Halibut and Sand Bass, etc. or we could go down the coast towards Rocky Point, off the Palos Verdes Peninsula, which has Calico Bass, White Sea Bass and an occasional Yellowtail. We would be trolling along the way, and hovering around areas where we see good fish in our state of the art fish finder or drift around kelp beds or other structure, all with similar techniques and gear, some lighter and some heavier, which we will provide for you if you don't have your own.

We may throw out crab pots on the way out and retrieve to catch rock crab.

In April Rockfish season opens, and we may add them to our menu, usually going deep.

Later in  June through October, when the warm water is present, we usually sport-fish offshore towards or around Catalina  or other deep water destinations for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail, Albacore, and other exotic deep water species, as they are available; until the warm water goes away in November. Then we go back to sport-fishing Halibut and Bass though the winter.
